Learning from the best

At Cashmores we’re experienced real estate agents, having sold hundreds of properties across Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty. We’re great at what we do but also understand the importance of not being complacent. 

Continuing to learn, adapt and grow is vital in any business, including real estate, and it was with great excitement last week that we boarded a flight for a quick trip down to Queenstown to attend a conference with Josh Phegan. 

Josh is an internationally renowned speaker, trainer and coach for high-performance real estate agents and agencies.  In 2018 Josh was the drawcard speaker at 208 events in the US, UK, New Zealand and Australia. He hosts industry-leading events such as the Real Estate BluePrint and List Sell Negotiate and is the producer behind the High-Performance podcast with Alexander Phillips.

One thing that struck us about what Josh said was how much of his advice we had already independently figured out and implemented in our business. It was really reassuring and underlined to us that we are on the right track. That said, we returned to Tauranga with a few key learnings.    

Josh had some fantastic tips on mastering routines and processes to ensure that everything we do is done correctly every time and that nothing slips through the cracks. This will help provide our clients an even smoother journey through the real estate process whether they’re selling or buying. 

We’re seasoned negotiators but Josh was able to impart some great negotiation advice that we’ll be able to apply to help our clients get even better results. Josh touched on problem solving, elements of an offer, simple negotiation and stakeholders in a deal. It was awesome to hear what high performers do and say to get a deal together.

We left the conference inspired and energised and as well as hearing Josh speak it was really cool to surround ourselves with other motivated agents from around New Zealand. 

Ongoing education is so important and we look forward to embracing more opportunities as they arise so Cashmores can stay at the cutting edge of the real estate industry.
