Huge start to 2020

Can you believe it’s March already? They say time passes quickly when you’re busy and we’ve absolutely hit the ground running in 2020, selling homes and properties all over Tauranga, Mount Maunganui and Papamoa.

 

The trend toward inner city living is expected to increase at pace over the next few years and we’ve recently found new owners for two very different properties on First Avenue and Devonport Road in Tauranga’s Central City.

9 First Avenue went onto the market a couple of days before Christmas after previously being marketed by another real estate agency. With 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, exceptional views over the Tauranga Harbour and Matapihi train bridge and just a few steps to cafes, shops, and offices this home was someone’s opportunity to create their own inner city oasis and potentially add a style and flair of their own to the property.

 

Just around the corner at 4/190 Devonport Road a smaller 3 bedroom townhouse was listed in January and the interest was overwhelming with potential buyers really seeing the opportunity to secure their own spot to live and work in the CBD. With the exciting new Farmers Development well underway and other construction projects on the go there’s a real optimism about downtown Tauranga’s future.

 

Over in the Mount we also recently sold two very different properties. 78A Oceanbeach Road was uploaded to our website in late December and the buyer came through the house in the first week and was so impressed by the modern home so close to the beach that they made an offer right away. After a longer than normal due diligence period due to Christmas and new year, the home went unconditional in January. Not far away on Orkney Road near Mount Primary School and around the corner from New World supermarket a 322sqm section initially didn’t sell under the hammer at auction but was followed up a couple of days later with a multi offer and sold.

This year we’ve also sold sections at Sunbrae Grove in Mount Maunganui, and Waiawa Lane and Carmichael Road in Bethlehem.

 

At Cashmores we do it all, residential, lifestyle, luxury and at the more luxury end of the scale was 12 Hazel Terrace in Otumoetai. Stylish and modern with stunning harbour views, multiple decks and entertainment areas and a louvered garden patio this place saw multiple offers within days of a price amendment and after some negotiation sold soon after.
