Tradies, trucks and tower cranes – there’s been plenty of action next door to our Cashmores office in Tauranga CBD as the development of the iconic Farmers site continues.
Envisioned as a contemporary retail, dining and residential hub, the project began in 2018 with the demolition of the Farmers building and is set for completion in 2021.
The $130 million dollar development will feature 8000 square metres of retail across two levels, a dining precinct with gourmet cafes and restaurants, 97 high end apartments in two towers, 23 luxury townhouses and of course the and new and improved Farmers which has temporarily relocated to The Lakes in Tauriko.
These are exciting times for Tauranga’s CBD. Local contractors and cafes are keeping busy and the semester is ready to commence at the new Waikato University campus with an influx of new out of town students.
An upgraded library and new public transport hubs are coming and other urban residential developments are planned or underway – all contributing to a more vibrant and attractive city centre.
We’re thrilled to be in the midst of it all in our Elizabeth Street office. We’ve been selling real estate in Tauranga for a long time now and it’s really cool to see the progress being made in our growing city.
