At Cashmores we love social media and video and think digital platforms are so much more dynamic, targeted, measurable and cost effective real estate storytelling tools than traditional media like newspapers and leaflets.
When it comes to marketing the most important thing for us is that our clients are happy. In fact we have a marketing menu which not only puts customers in control but offers complete transparency around costs and expectations. We’re a flexible bunch and not bound to a one size fits all approach like the traditional corporate real estate companies.
Of course things like newspapers and radio still have their place in the media landscape but we’ve taken it upon ourselves to have a highly visible presence on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube as well as on all of New Zealand’s main real estate websites. If the speed of our sales in Tauranga over the last four months is any indication then we’re definitely doing something right!
There’s no doubt that video is the best way to share a home. We’re not talking about a boring room by room tour but an energetic product that gives a taste of the home, neighbourhood and the opportunities that exist and really establishes an emotional connection with potential buyers.
The irony here is that we can produce and place a video across social media for less than the cost of a newspaper ad, meaning a more dynamic and creative product targeted specifically at those interested in real estate.
Facebook is where we take our creativity, consistency and targeted approach to the next level, telling your home’s story through a winning combination of stunning property videos, magazine style photography and written content. We focus on pushing your ads into the Facebook news feeds of potential buyers, and can target by suburb, city, region, age, gender, interests and hobbies. Is your house near a golf course? We can include golfers in our audience. A great potential home for retirees? We’ll make sure we slide into their news feeds too.
As well as these platforms we run campaigns on Instagram and YouTube, utilise LinkedIn networking and list on a number of the most popular real estate websites including Trade Me, www.realestate.co.nz, www.oneroof.co.nz and www.homes.co.nz.
